Who we are...

Friends of Vernon is a grassroots group of neighbors who care about preserving the fine homes, unique green space, tree canopy, and historic character of our area.

We’re not against change. We simply believe that any development along Vernon Road and Peachtree Heights West should respect the land, protect our stream buffers, and maintain the quiet residential feel and architectural scale and charm that makes this part of Buckhead special.

Our goal is to stay informed, stay organized, and speak up together when projects or policies could impact our shared environment.

Neighborhood character: Defined by green setbacks, open space, and a calm, residential feel in a historic neighborhood in Buckhead.
Trees & canopy: Mature trees provide shade, cooling, and beauty.
Streams & stormwater: Nearby Streams and buffers help manage runoff and reduce flooding.
Wildlife & serenity: Small pockets of open space support birds, wildlife, and peace.

From time to time, zoning, variance, and development proposals come forward that may affect this balance. Friends of Vernon helps neighbors understand what’s being proposed and how to participate in the public process.
